Who we are<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The UKERI Research and Innovation Portal is the digital publishing resource for projects funded and run by UK Education Research and Innovation<\/a><\/em> (UKERI\u2122<\/sup>), as part of its longstanding partnership work to find solutions to long-standing complex community challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The portal is password protected for those partners participating in the various projects. UKERI’s projects were first launched in March 2012, and have since grown to encompass apps, reports, maps, innovative graphical reporting and the use of the latest data science and AI techniques, utilising server-side processing and analysis to enable a simple, fast and secure web-based experience for users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The projects and the resources on this portal draw from an ever-developing UKERI specialism in evidence-driven problem solving through data collection, pattern analysis and simple visual presentation in a format that is accessible to all, removing (for example) the need for a technical understanding of statistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resource has proven extremely useful for a range of national and regional research projects in both education and the social care sector, and continues to evolve and develop in response to the growing needs of the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carbon Footprint<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

UKERI seek to minimise their carbon footprint in all business activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technology used to store, present and analyse data is selected on the basis of its energy efficiency. Predominantly we use high-end modern desktop computers with low-end power-consuming components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The analytical outcomes are hosted on a Easyspace server platform managed by IONOS Group PLC, a respected hosting provider verified by the Green Web Foundation. See here<\/a> for further information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charity Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

UKERI has actively worked with various charities (large and small) over the course of its history, and we particularly welcome approaches for help from children’s charities to whom we offer subsidised support on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
